The wheels, wings and hulls that transport freight throughout the world are a visual reminder of the vital importance of the business of transportation to the economies of the United States and the world. Due to the public interest in the efficient and unimpeded movement of freight within the United States and throughout the world, transportation historically has been heavily regulated by governmental bodies. Even with the lessening of state and federal regulation of transportation modes in the United States within the past thirty years, there is still a sea of laws and regulations governing the movement of freight domestically and internationally.
Over the past 29 years I have had wide experience in transportation law related to all modes of transportation. Such experience includes work in the areas of admiralty and maritime law. I have served clients in courts and administrative agencies throughout the United States, and I have provided advice, guidance and legal representation in litigation to clients concerning domestic and international transportation. It would be my privilege to assist you in protecting your legal rights related to transportation when they are threatened or injured and to help you solve legal problems, with or without litigation, related to the movement of freight – by truck, rail, barge, air, or ocean vessel - in order to make your business work more effectively and compete more efficiently.
My law practice also includes legal work in the areas of general civil litigation, contracts and real estate.
Please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance to you and/or your company.
